Arduino + Sensors

Max/Max for Live custom devices

Featured in the Beall Center for Art + Technology in Irvine, California.

Flowbreak is a sound installation that explores the relationship between the body, light, and solid ground. Patrons of the Beall center were able to interact with the installation by walking on the pressure-sensitive floor and casting their shadows over the Lumoboxes. The boxes interpret dancing shadows of the patron's hands, translating their emotions into pulsating and motoric audio gestures. The floor evokes a sense of uncertainty as it realistically mimics the cracking of thin ice.
